Founded in October 1987, the company was awarded major contracts for Control Systems by OEMs in the Plastics Extrusion Industry. The Systems were designed and manufactured to specific country electrical specifications (UL, CSA, VDE) and installed in the United States, Europe and the Far East. In 1989, the company expanded its designing and manufacturing services to include Manufacturers and Developers in addition to Processors, in the Plastics, Food, Mining, Security, Semiconductor, Environmental/Reclamation and Automotive sectors. The company also expanded its scope to include computerized control systems and local area networks (LANs), integrating IBM compatible PCs to control and monitor multiple PLCs and other IBM based special function processors. CONTROL AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY, INC. has developed its marketing strategy around QUALITY and RELIABLE system designs to attract the discriminating user who is concerned with extended product life, as well as the long term savings associated with reduced maintenance costs and expensive down time. Our OEM contract arrangements with major U.S. manufacturers of controls, sensors, PLCs, motors and electrical products, combined with quality manufacturing methods, allow us to produce systems and control panels with built-in reliability at a competitive cost. We design Custom control systems to satisfy the customers' specific control requirements, considering both short and long term objectives to maximize product life cycles and match project budgets. A specific segment of the design includes incorporating the requirements of the standard electrical codes existing in the geographical location in which the equipment is to be installed. UL, CSA and the various European standards are integral to our design and manufacturing methods. Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approval of individual control panels is available.
